After your presentation to the CEOs of UNMHS, one executive pulled you to the side with some concerns regarding UNMHS’s ability to serve the communities in which these organizations are located. Communities have their own rich cultures, which are themselves often made up of many distinct demographics. UNMHS will have to be very aware of the needs of these demographics in order to succeed in that community.

Based on your understanding of the two organizations you’ve analyzed as part of the central project for this course, use your initial post to explain ways a healthcare organization can overcome the challenges – of racial prejudice as well as social and economic inequity – when serving a distinct community with distinct needs. Use one of the communities of one of the organizations you chose as part of the final project for this course as an example.
