The Corporations Legislation Amendment (Audit Enhancement) Bill 2012 is the result of a Treasury review of audit quality and extensive stakeholder consultation during 2011 on measures that are designed to enhance audit quality and ensure that Australia’s regulatory framework remains in line with international best practice.Measures in the Bill include:Requiring audit firms to publish an annual transparency report if they conduct audits of 10 or more significant entitiesEmpowering ASIC to issue an audit deficiency report in relation to an individual audit firm if it identifies an audit deficiency in the auditor’s quality control system or the conduct of an audit that may be detrimental to the overall quality of the auditRemoving duplication of ASIC and Financial Reporting Council (FRC) audit inspection responsibilities so that ASIC continues its audit inspection program and the FRC focuses on providing strategic policy advice and reports on the quality of Australian audits.Allowing ASIC to communicate directly with an audited body.Allowing a two-year extension to the five-year auditor rotation requirement where it will not give rise to a conflict of interest and will prevent the loss of knowledge and experience where rotation could undermine the quality of the audit.ICAA report: Reforms to enhance Audit QualityAvailable from: www.chartered accountants.co.au/industry-Topics/Audit-and-Assurance Other sources:AUASB websiteCPAA…

Assignment

This assignment comes in two parts.

Part 1: Create a timeline that covers at least four major events of the women’s movement. These do not necessarily have to be from the 1960s, and they can be within a relatively short timeframe (spanning just a few years), or a very long time frame (spanning a couple of centuries). It is entirely up to you! You can find templates for timelines online, or you create your own timeline in Word (Click on Insert, choose Illustrations, SmartArt for templates).

Part 2: Write a brief, 300-500 word commentary that explains how each of these four events that you have mentioned in your timeline is interrelated. In this commentary, you may write about how one event led into the next, and so on, or you may write about how one very significant event led to the other three. The way that you describe the interrelatedness of these events is up to you, but you must demonstrate that you understand how interconnected they are.

Purpose: The purpose of Assignment 5 is to enable
you to understand the importance of workers who are outside of the union
movement, why it is crucial that unions consider their interests, and
the barriers to broader organizing in the current context.Instructions:Write
an essay of 1500 words on the problems and prospects of organizing
unorganized workers. You must address each of the topics listed below
(each topic is of equal value).

  1. Why is it so important that unions focus their energy and resources on organizing the unorganized?
  2. Describe and explain the major barriers to the increased unionization of women in “hard to organize” sectors and workplaces.
  3. Do
the experiences of organizing informal workers in India, or immigrant
janitors in the United States, provide any lessons as to how unions can
adopt new strategies that will increase women’s trade union
    participation?

For the first topic, your answer should
consider the importance of organizing for women specifically, for
society more generally, and for unions themselves. For the second topic,
consider the general and specific challenges that make it difficult to
organize workers in the sectors discussed in Unit 6 (e.g., the role of
employers, workplace issues, labour force issues, and union policies).
Provide examples of the difficulties that you raise. For the third
topic, highlight what you think are the lessons from both case studies
(SEWA in India and J4J in the United States).Review all of the
study questions from Unit 6 as you prepare your essay. Make an argument
that you support with evidence from the assigned readings for Unit 6.
You are not required to use sources other than the four articles,
although you may refer to other material and your own experiences if you
wish to do so.Keep the following additional requirements in mind as they affect your grade for this assignment.

  • You
must make specific reference in your essay to each of the four articles
for Unit 6; a failure to do so will result in a reduced grade.
  • You must include references listed using APA style; failure to do so will result in a reduced grade.
  • The
sources for all information that would not be considered common
knowledge must be acknowledged. All direct quotes must be in quotation
marks or block quotations if the quoted material is more than 40 words
long. Use your own words as much as possible.

(hospital service voluntree whould be good )

Write a two-page essay in a “.doc” format – including a small photo if you want – and submit it as an attachment in this “Assignments” section of class. The essay should be about a volunteer service that you have recently completed or would be willing to complete that relates to LOCAL topic(s) in your area that are intertwined with material you’ve learned in class. Ideas: join a “friend of” group, volunteer to educate visitors or students at a museum, write a letter to a manager or senator to protect resources, etc – anything that is volunteer work and is related to a topic covered in class.

This essay should be written in the proper format – it’s an academic paper. I would like to see information about the place(s) you volunteer for and your volunteer plan: how many hours you volunteer; where; with how many other people; a description of your volunteer service; a description of what volunteer service is needed there, etc.

Please cite your sources and upload this assignment to the correct folder. Select “submit for grading” so I know you turned it in. You can turn this in at any time during the course up until the last day. This Extra Credit will be worth 1% on your final score and can effectively nudge grade up if it’s on the fence. Have FUN!

Academic essay

Length of Essay: 2000 words (+/- 10%) not including appendices, diagrams, tables, references etc.

IMPORTANT ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION

The essay should be prepared in the format of an academic essay. Your essay should have an introduction, body and conclusion., however there is no need to use headings in such a short essay. Please note that there is no need for an executive summary or table of contents as this is an essay and not a report.

In order to demonstrate the necessary breadth and depth of understanding of the literature to gain a pass, a minimum of 20 references of which 12 must be refereed journals is needed. Naturally for the attainment of higher grades a greater recourse to the refereed literature would be needed. As a guide one would expect that for a distinction or better a student would need a minimum of 25 references of which 15 must be refereed journals. It is important to note that in using references it is not simply the number of references but the quality of them and how they are used. Students should avoid padding references. Padding of references is where one uses multiple sources for basic, simple or non-controversial information simply to obtain the required number of sources. Please note that a reference relates to the source and not the number of times a reference is used within an essay. Hence 20 references means 20 different sources.

Non-refereed reference sources may come from any other sources such as text books, non-refereed journals, internet sites etc.

Task

Part A

Conduct a literature review of the organisational change literature for the period 2000 to 2012 and determine what skills an individual change leader would require to enable that change leader to take part in change management programs in different contexts and to develop new ways of approaching organisational change. Identify skills that directly transfer across those contexts and identify skills (if any) that you feel are needed but are not evident in the literature.

I have provided in the course material examples of literature reviews that have been conducted by published authors and these are detailed as selected readings 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4. in module 1. They may assist those of you who are not familiar with conducting a literature review. Please note that you have the scope to set up your literature review according to any particular theme that you chose. For example, in the selected reading 1.2 by Armenakis & Bedeian 1999, these authors use the categorisation of context content and process as a basis for presenting the literature they reviewed.

Part B

Skills matrix attachment to your essay.

You are required to take the skills that you locate in your essay and allocate the importance of those skills to each of the meta-models of change in module 1 as detailed below. You do not need to provide any explanation regarding your allocation, it is simply your allocation after reflection on the skills and how you perceive the importance of that skill at the three nominated stages for each model.

Consider the four meta models of change detailed in module 1 of your study material and from your literature review, categorise your skills into a matrix of pre-change (or preparation for change) stage, change implementation stage and post implementation stage allocating 10 points among those stages on how important you think the skill is for each of the particular stages in each of the meta models. You need to do this for all four meta models of change. Hence, if you felt that a particular skill was only important in one stage of a meta model, you would allocate the full 10 points to that stage. If, on the other hand, you felt that the skill was important across three stages of the meta model, you would allocate the 10 points across those stages based on your rated importance of the skill to those stages. Below is the format of the matrix that you should complete. I have included an example of how the meta skill of “consultation skill” might be considered differently between the radical and the incremental models of change to assist with your understanding of how to complete the matrix. If you were doing this you would also complete the allocation for the remaining two models. You should complete the matrix for each skill and accross all models.

TOTAL FOR ASSIGNMENT

Category 1 – Introduction: Total mark 10

Each assignment should contain a clear, identifiable introduction. The introduction should inform the reader why the assignment is being written. It should detail a statement of what the assignment hopes to show and provide a summary of the major issues to be dealt with. Finally, there should be a plan of the assignment. After reading the introduction, a reader should know why the assignment is being written, what it aims to show and how the writer intends to proceed. An introduction would normally take approximately 10% or less of the word count.

Category 2 – Structure: Total mark 35

Good structure is an important part of any good writing and therefore is an essential part of the assignment.

This category is concerned with the overall structure of the assignment, particularly its coherency and consistency. The assignment’s structure must be logical, with arguments and paragraphs flowing logically into one another. Students should make sure that linking words, phrases or sentences are used between paragraphs and that the purpose of each paragraph is related to what the assignment hopes to show. To achieve good marks in this category, it is necessary that students allocated sufficient time to complete a number of revisions of their first draft. Often, a disorganised structure and imprecise writing can obscure the reasonable content of some assignments. Students should note that marks are allocated for they way references are used throughout the assignment, in addition to the technical correctness of referencing. After reading an assignment, the reader should be persuaded that the assignment is coherent, holistic, logical and clearly written.

Category 3 – Content: Total mark 50

There are five equally marked sub-sets in this category.

Evidence of reading is normally demonstrated by citing references, which are provided by the lecturer, contained within the university’s resources or readily available from major libraries, and which demonstrate suitable theory content. 2) Research is normally demonstrated by using a wide range of information sources, which may incorporate print, electronic media, and where appropriate personal interviews. Students should note that when using the internet sites for references good judgement about the quality of the source is necessary, as many cites are not peer reviewed. Poor judgement might result in poor quality of research and argument. 3) Knowledge of the subject is normally demonstrated through the depth and breadth of theoretical application to required situations. In other words, students must cover the major issues involved and ensure that the issues are explained with reference to theory. There should be no glaring omissions of either key issues or relevant theory. 4) Understanding is demonstrated by the way in which issues are explained. For example, students must not just describe relevant theory, but must make links between different theories, evaluate their supporting research and compare and contrast relevant theories. 5) Critical reflection is the judgement that the writer makes on the overall topic. Past practice indicates that students score reasonably well (7 to 8 ) on reading and research, but lower (4 – 6) on knowledge, understanding and critical reflection.

Category 4 – conclusion; total mark 5

Traditionally, students do not perform well in this category. Most assignments tends to end rather than conclude. In this category, students should show how the plan as stated in the introduction was implemented and how the aims of the assignment were achieved. The writer should express a final conclusion on the overall topic.

Assignment 2
Due date: Friday 2/25 at 10am
1. Task
You’ve just been hired as a consultant to work for Ethics R US, a law and ethics consulting firm dedicated to advising professionals about their legal and ethical obligations in the professional arena.
All communications you receive in this capacity are confidential. George, a manager for XYZ, Inc. has come to you with the following facts and asks for your advice. You consider his case and write a confidential report to be placed in George’s file within Ethics R Us. The report will be used only to support your recommendation to George. However, in the event George takes action that is contrary to your recommendation and decides to bring legal action against you for any legal or ethical trouble he gets into regarding the issue, the memo can be used in court to document your conversation with George. Here are the facts related to George’s case:
George is a manager for XYZ, Inc., a company that develops software for the medical services industry. George’s primary responsibilities include managing the company’s sale of software to companies located in Texas. Although George is doing rather well in his current position and is happy with his position and salary, he has been somewhat disengaged with work and has often wondered what it would be like if he pursued his dream to develop software applications for educational purposes.
One day while having a few glasses of wine with some friends, one of his closest friends, Sara, suggests that George try to start his business while still currently employed. Sara suggests that he begin slowly, in his free time at night and on the weekends. Then, once he feels comfortable that the business will be successful, he could quit XYZ and move full time to pursue his dream. George and Sara are close friends, and each has relied upon the other for important decision-making throughout their lives. Hence, George is particularly drawn to Sara’s suggestion.
George decides to take Sara’s advice and begins to work on some ideas he has had to develop software for middle schools to help teach math and science through the use of video games. Sara, always George’s champion, tells George that she met someone who was interested in hiring him as a consultant to develop some training games for the company’s employees. The company, MedTrain, Inc., provides medical training services for nurses and other medical technicians operating different medical equipment.
George is excited about the opportunity to perform this consulting work, but is apprehensive about doing so. He is conscious of the possible conflict of interest present and wants you to discuss his alternative choices and provide him a final recommendation.
Prepare a memo to George’s file that considers ONLY the following two theories that were discussed in class, in the online lecture on ethical reasoning, and your readings – Utilitarianism and Universal Ethics (i.e., Kant’s categorical imperative).
You may consider any of the resources provided in your text, and online lectures. However, it is NOT ADVISED that you consult the internet. Your papers will be graded based on the required resources for GENB 4350. Therefore, if you rely on the internet, you may find that your grade suffers. Also, there are ethical reasoning steps discussed in your textbook. Keep in mind that not all of the concepts presented in these steps will be included in this memo (but eventually will be included in Assignment 4).
Finally, remember that Assignments 2 and 3 are “practice” for Assignment 4, which will require you to combine your analysis from both prior assignments into one paper. Referring to your feedback on Assignments 2 and 3 will be important in preparing Assignment 4.
2. Format
a. Use Microsoft Word, 12 font, times new roman, single spacing.
b. Use the format demonstrated in the sample paper called “Sample Assignment 3” provided under Writing Resources. This format incorporates the use of headers that distinguish the different areas of thought within the memo. Additionally, you may incorporate additional headers or sub-headers if necessary to more effectively convey your ideas. The basic headers you must include are:
1. Facts
2. Issue
3. Analysis (note- this is where you may want to use additional headers)
4. Recommendation
c. Paper should be around 700-1000 words. This is merely a guide. The purpose of the guide is to help you understand whether your have thought deeply enough about the topic. Your grade will not be affected by the number of words written. However, your grade will be affected by whether or not you have fully analyzed the issue and fully supported your conclusion/decision. If you find that you are significantly over this range of words, you should edit your paper so that your ideas and words are conveyed in the most concise manner.
d. Inside your document – DO NOT include any personal information inside your document (such as name, PeopleSoft ID, etc). We will not remove this information before submitting it for assessment.
e. Save your Word document with the following file name EXACLTY (with no additional spaces, dashes, or characters):

This semester, by far, has been one of my best since I’ve been here at Penn State. This semester I’ve: taken another huge step in becomingcomfortablein my own skin, taught anadministratorabout respect, kept my GPA up over a 3.3 while taking 7 classes (17 credits), laughed more than I can remember, and been happier than I’ve ever been before. I solidified my realization this semester that it is not my grades that matter, it is not tip-toeing around people who may affect your grade, it isn’t hiding from who you really are. What this semester has taught me is that the real meaning of college is not in the classroom, it’s the experiences that you have outside of the classroom that really make you who you are. I feel like at the end of one of these “wrap-up” essays you should answer the question, “If you had one piece of advice for someone who is about to start college, what would you say?” What would I say… hmmm. Well I believe I would tell them a couple of things: 1) HAVE FUN! Life’s too short and college is a heck of a lot shorter so enjoy yourself, 2) don’t stress about grades; it’s really not worth it, in 30 years you wont remember that C you got on the Psych exam or the B- you got in Chem so don’t stress about it, 3) treat the world around you with the same respect you are given; one of the main things my father taught me was “It doesn’t matter if the person you’re talking to is 10 or 90; it doesn’t matter if they’re a preschooleror the President of the United States, we are all human and deserve the same respect”, I have become extremely successful so far in my college career by doing this, why? Because when people see that you demand the same respect as them, they will treat you like an adult, as long as you’re ready for the pressure that may come with it some times, go for it because you deserve nothing less, and 4) YOLO! “You only live once!” Understand that you’re only here for a certain amount of time, don’t wonder in 10 years what would’ve happened if you talked to that one girl, what would’ve happened if you went to that one party or what would’ve happened if you confronted that one person. You’re guarenteed one life, make the most of it. I honestly feel like this semester I did and I don’t regret one thing that I’ve done and I think that’s why I can sleep so soundly at night. I’m not going to be here next semester and I’m really going to miss it but I know that all of the things I learned here and the things that I’m going to learn while I’m at Disney are going to make my Spring semester just that much better.

WRITTEN ASSESSMENT

Assessment Title
Assessment item 1— Essay? This assignment requires you to write an essay on why the leader’s role is critical to
effective governance of organisations.
Your essay topic should be informed by the extant literature on leadership and governance, especially literature which points to the need for organisations to develop forms of leadership and governance that operate effectively across shifting boundaries of the new economy. You are also required to examine literature highlighting the need for organisations to create ethical corporate culture (Caldwell et al 2008; Schwartz 2013) since ethical leadership influences group in-role performance (Walumbwa et al 2012). Finally, you will review the existing leadership research which proposes relationships between organisational leadership, leadership development, followership, organisational governance and organisational performance (Carcello 2009).

This case talks about ethics issue I need at least 2 pages with perfect points and clear ideas.

Ethics Case
You work for a small manufacturing firm, where it is clearly too expensive to have proper segregation
of duties.
Because of this lack of control, management knows that opportunities exist to perpetrate
fraud within the company. Management is particularly concerned with possible collusion between
purchasing agents and vendors because of the relatively small size of the company and the fact that a single purchasing agent is often solely responsible for a vendor’s account.
Management knows now that a lot of money can be saved by proactively preventing fraud and not just acting on a reactionary or crisis basis.

They have started to establish an open-door policy where all employees are encouraged to talk
about pressures and opportunities faced while on the job. Management also wants to establish a hot-
line where employees can report suspicious activity.
a. Is an employee hotline necessary?
b. Is this sort of whistle-blowing ethical? Yes/No, Explain and justify your response
c. What can management do as they establish this hotline to encourage employees to actually use it?
Please be clear in your responses, give examples if needed.
When completed, please upload your answers in Connect by the due date.
Late cases will not be graded.

34-160 (02): Reasoning Skills (Guetter) Winter 2013 Essay #2 1. Begin by choosing any ONE of the following as the centrepiece for your ‘Fact-and-Arguments’-style essay: B1. an argument involving a ‘straw man’ fallacy and ‘equivocation’; or B2. a cogent (or sound) argument involving conversion and contradiction; or B3. a cogent (or sound) argument involving constructive dilemma and disjunctive syllogism; or B4. a cogent (or sound) argument involving reduction ad absurdum. 2. Next, apply your understanding of B1, B2, B3, or B4 to any ONE of the following statements in 2.1.B, p. 70 (treating those statements as conclusions rather than premises): 3. Marijuana should be legalized; or 6. Society has an obligation to provide housing for the homeless; or 12. Nuclear deterrence is irrational; or 16. a claim of your own invention. This yields 16 possibilities: B1 applied to 6, B4 applied to 3, etc. Notes: 1. In addition to information re: course/section, date, and student name/number, the title-page of your essay must include the Letter-Number combination of the logical topic you intend to write on (from #1 above) followed by a descriptive title of the essay’s contents (from #2 above; if you select 2.16, you will need to come up with your own title). Use the Letter-Number combination together with a one-word indication of your subject-matter for the complete filename of the file you upload to turnitin, e.g. ‘A4 and Marijuana’, ‘A1 and Society’, ‘A3 and Nuclear’, and so on. The Letter-Number combination is necessary to tell your TA/GA which specific logical topic you intended to write your essay on. A complete descriptive title for your work is insufficient for this purpose, and a oneword summary of that title is even less so. In short, no Letter-Number combination = nothing to evaluate. 2. A requirement of first-class work is that it shows something (e.g. equivocation) without naming it anywhere in the essay including its title page (e.g. ‘she equivocated’). 3. The required…

Many have criticized about the short story, “Where have you been, Where are you going?” This story struggles with some common asked questions in the history of human conditions. Sexuality is a big aspect of the story. The story is set in the 1960s, which is the period of when sexual civilization was being questioned, teenage sexuality that was constantly being discussed, and of course human conditions. The story demonstrates how the brutal attitude toward sexuality in a typical society not only risks a woman’s personality and self but it’s also connected to the sexual violence to women.

The small-town setting in the 1960s describes a shopping center and a drive-in restaurant. Setting is absurd with the violence presented in the story, and the difference it supplies to boost up the reader’s apprehension. The lack of detailed description of the setting serves to spread the theme, sexuality. We are so used to violence and sexuality material that we have seen everywhere. Connie’s ideas about love, and her response to Arnold Friend, may seem immature.

“Yes, I’m your lover. You don’t know what that is, but you will… I’ll hold you so tight you won’t think you have to try to get away or pretend anything because you’ll know you can’t. And I’ll come inside you where it’s all secret and you’ll give in to me and you’ll love me –” (104).As the situation gets more intense, Arnold’s language gets more sexually open and violent, culminating in the rape scene he portrays in this quote. Arnold isn’t just telling what he wants, but he is demanding Connie to “give in” and submit to him. Sexuality is associated here with power and authority.

Teenagers frequently leave their home for an adventure, a new life they can build, or simply just to drift away from society. Connie leaves home to hunt for a new life because of the reason her family does not accomplish her need for a caring relationship with…

You are required to read the following statement
issued by ICAA (Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and provide an essay of
between 1,000-1,500 words (being the minimum and maximum). It should be
properly referenced and must be primarily of your own work.

Press release:Legislation to improve the
quality and transparency of the auditing process has been introduced into the
House of Representatives this week by Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer
David Bradbury. The Corporations Legislation Amendment (Audit Enhancement)
Bill 2012
is the result of a Treasury review of audit quality and extensive
stakeholder consultation during 2011 on measures that are designed to enhance
audit quality and ensure that Australia’s
regulatory framework remains in line with international best practice.

Measures
in the Bill include:

  • Requiring audit firms to
publish an annual transparency report if they conduct audits of 10 or more
    significant entities
  • Empowering ASIC to issue
an audit deficiency report in relation to an individual audit firm if it
identifies an audit deficiency in the auditor’s quality control system or
the conduct of an audit that may be detrimental to the overall quality of
    the audit
  • Removing duplication of
ASIC and Financial Reporting Council (FRC) audit inspection
responsibilities so that ASIC continues its audit inspection program and
the FRC focuses on providing strategic policy advice and reports on the
    quality of Australian audits.
  • Allowing ASIC to
communicate directly with an audited body.
  • Allowing a two-year
extension to the five-year auditor rotation requirement where it will not
give rise to a conflict of interest and will prevent the loss of knowledge
and experience where rotation could undermine the quality of the audit.

John Brown: Terrorist or Revolutionary?
A definition of terrorism is needed before deciding whether John Brown was a terrorist. “A terrorist is a person who commits acts of violence to intimidate or coerce society or the government, especially for political purposes” (“What is Terrorism?”). Terrorism is a psychological tactic wherein a combatant group attempts to cause a psychological impact and incite intense fear. The US military definition of terrorism is:
“The calculated use of unlawful violence or the threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological” (“What is Terrorism?”).
Terrorists do not participate in formal wars, instead, they attack civilian populations or landmarks. Terrorists believe that they have no other option than violence when they are fighting a government. Peaceful alternatives are either non-existent or ineffective. Some terrorists, like John Brown, believe they are doing the work of God, and that terrorism is required in order to do so. In exact words John Brown
Born in 1800, John Brown grew up observing the evils of slavery (“John Brown – Abolitionist,” History Comes Alive 2000). When he was around five years old, a fugitive slave and his wife arrived at his home seeking shelter. It was the first time he had seen anyone black, and it made a strong impression on him. In 1831, Nat Turner led his insurrection in Virginia. In the North, blacks were being kept from school and people who taught them to read were persecuted. John Brown viewed slavery as “a great wrong against God and humanity” The Public Life of Captain John Brown,” Redpath 1860). In 1833, Brown wrote to his brother, “I have been trying to devise some means whereby I might do something in a practical way for my poor fellow men who are in bondage” (“John Brown to Brother Fredrick,” Brown 1834). He attempted to adopt a black boy but was…

    New Service Development
    Saroj rajbahak

    Essay Writing
    30/08/12

    INTRODUCTION
The businesses can generate revenue from selling new service to existing
customers or new customers. The business has to be diversified to be able to
sell it to new customers. New products or service can turn out to be greatly
profitable for the business if they are uniquely designed and they can have
first mover advantage. Also, the product or service should be less prone to
imitation otherwise there can be competitors in the marketplace. However, the
businesses can protect their uniqueness of the product or service by copyright
or patent laws. There should be perfect marketing plan beforehand and the
situation analysis should be done prior to launch of the product or service. Without
proper planning and forecasting the product or service could lead nowhere but
to the failure. This paper aims at developing a service and environmental and
feasibility analysis of the need of the same.
    Service Idea
New service idea is based on survey. The business would visit the companies to
find out the number of electronic items in their offices and analyse whether
those are sufficient or not and what are the scope of other electronic items. This
information could turn out to be very useful for electronic company as they can
approach those companies and get their products sold. The business would get
commission from electronics companies on every product being sold to those
companies. Or the business can take a fixed amount for sharing the useful data
to the electronics companies. This does not call for big capital investment.
The business can be started with a small office having few sales people, survey
people and analysts. The survey people will fix up the appointments with the
corporate houses that they want to perform a survey. After getting the survey
done, the survey people will hand over those data to the analysts who would perform
an analysis of the needs of electronic items. On the basis of the data, the
sales team would contact electronic companies to discuss the business prospects
    and close the deals.

    Unmet Customer Needs
    There are numerous survey companies
but there is no such company that is engaged in such kind of survey. In this
cut throat competition, the electronics companies are vying to get their
products sold. They conduct different kinds of marketing and sales activities
but they really need some new ideas to get their products sold. The electronics
companies have no data available on the very need of electronic items in the
corporate houses. Corporate houses are places where these companies can sell
their products in great volumes and with the expansion of these corporate, the
demand of the products will always be there continuously. The electronic
companies strive hard to into the corporate and make relations with them. Such
kinds of service would really help a great deal in reaching the corporate easily
    and get their products sold.

    Target Market
The target market for this service would be all the electronics companies, electronic
retailers and distributors. The local sales team of the electronic companies
should be contacted and business prospects should be discusses with them to
finally reach at an agreement. There are a number of global electronic players
in Australian market as well as local manufacturers. The business would target
them all and close its deal with those who offer good price for the service.
The agreement can take any shape i.e. either on the basis of the items sold or one
time agreement of the price. The company should analyse which one is more
paying and then it should go for the same. However, this process should be
exercised initially, once the business would get going the company would be
able to differentiate which one is the more paying and it can freeze the same. Sometimes,
local manufacturers can pay more than big giants so that they can get their
products sold and expand their business. It is advised that the business go for
dealing with many electronic companies rather relying on one or two. This would
foster good ties between them which would be beneficial in the long-run.
Relying heavily on only one or two could turn out to be disastrous if they
choose not to take service anymore.

    Existing Alternatives and Substitutes

The players in the electronic industry face many challenges due to cut throat
competition in the marketplace. They need to be innovative in their every function
so that they can mitigate those challenges. The companies need to make strong
sales so that they can optimise their profitability. The commercial spots can
be the biggest prospect as they can get their products sold in bulk and they
can even have continuous sales from business houses (Clarke, R. & Collie, D.,
2003). However, it is as easy as it may seem to reach them. The companies can take
the help of TVs, outdoor media, print advertisements or directly call them to
reach these businesses but none of them will give any accurate demand of the
products. Also, there are other competitors as well who are trying to reach
them by these activities. They really need some easy and innovative ways to
reach them. This new service may have different substitutes but this can turn
out to the most accurate and easy to cater to the demands of the products.

    MARKETING PLAN
    Awell formulated marketing plan
will lead this service to the success. The service has all the essential elements
to become successful and the only thing that requires is the proper marketing
    and placement of the service.

    Product:
    Theservice is designed
to be innovative which does not have similarity with any other service. However,
it has alternative services that can solve the purpose but they have different
modus operandi. The service is meant for electronic companies most of which are
huge in size and have global presence. If the service gets recognition from
these big giants there will be no obstacle on the way to become global. The
service is quite prospective and can turn out to be very successful. On top of
these, it does not require huge capital investment. So, even if the business
fails, the company does not have to suffer huge losses (PricewaterhouseCoopers,
    2008).

    Price:
    The business should charge premium
price as it will be dealing with mostly the global giants. The service yields
direct results and this is linked to the profit of the company which is visible
on the surface. Also, the service is unique in itself and it will help
companies to combat competition. The electronic industry is going through
severe completion and the players do their every bit to capitalise on the
profit which is not an easy task. The companies spend heavily to get the sales
done and that too on the basis of the forecasting whereas they can be sure of
    getting sales through this service.

    Place:
    The business can establish
itself in a city of its choice and then can expand itself to the whole of Australia. First
of all, it has to cater to the electronic players operating in that area. Once
the service will start yielding good results those players would like to have similar
kinds of services in their other territories. After getting sufficient demand
from people, the company can expand its operation to the whole of Australia step
by step. However, it is not as easy as it may seem considering Australia is
one of the largest countries in terms of area. It would take quite long to
    catch up the whole country.

    Promotion:
    Ita great deal of
effort and money when a business takes off. People are not aware of the company
and its offerings. The company has to reach to the masses and make them aware
of the service offerings. Here, the target audience of the business is the
electronic companies thus the company does not necessarily need to spend
heavily on reaching to the masses rather it should focus on the handful of the
companies. The company can take the help of brochures, mailers, business
magazines, newspapers etc. for its promotion activity. The promotion material
should have strong messages that the targeted audience feels the urge of the
    same.

    PEST ANALYSIS

    Political:The Australian liberal
democracy is combination of the British Westminster system, constitutional
monarchy and American federal structure. The federal system divides power between
federal government and the States. This has led to concern about financial relationship
between federal government and the States. The political parties in Australia work
as an organization having people of like-minded. The growth of any business
depends upon the kind of ruling party and the financial policies in Australia. Generally,
the political parties are quite supportive for businesses. The liberal policies
introduced by these parties have fuelled the Australian economy and the growth
is an ongoing process there. A healthy environment for business would help a
great to this service to be successful (ABS, 2004).

    Economic
    :Australia is developed country and
it has GDP of over $1.6 trillion and it is growing at around 3% yearly. The
total worth of the country is approx. $6.4 trillion. The GDP per person is in
excess of $44,000. The industry employs over 10 million people out of which 1.1
million people are in business services. Australia has performed well
continuously on economic front and there is always a great scope for businesses
to grow here. The economy is dominated by the service sector which represents a
whopping 68% of the GDP. The service sector has seen considerable growth over
the years. The property and business service have dominated this sector. This
is a good sign for the service we have selected. Australia is quite rich in natural
resources and thus it is one of the major exporters of the natural resources
throughout the world (Australian Government, 2004).

    Social:Theinitial population of the
country was of British origin. After World War II, the migrantsfrom
    Europe came in especially Italy,
    Greece, Germany, Yugoslavia,
the Netherlands, Turkey, and Lebanon. The migration was driven
by the Australian policy of increasing population and workforce in the country.
Later on, the country liberalised its policy more and open its doors for the
migrants from South East Asia. This is the
    reason why Australia
has become a culturally diversified country. The country has a great blend of
people from all over the world and a blend of their culture as well. However, the
culture is dominated by Europe (Coase, R., 1960).

    Technological:
Australiahas performed quite well in information technology and
communication over the years. Over 6 million households in Australia have
access to internet connection. R&D expenditure has increased drastically to
over $ 20 billion. The country boasts the latest technologies in every field. The federal government agency is responsible
for granting patents and rights, designs and marks. With the ever changing
technology world over, the country does not lag behind in those technologies. The
country is one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world.

    Conclusion
The service idea has a great
business potential if everything is planned in a right way. The service is
unique and it can create a big and visible difference in sales of electronic
items. The electronic companies will be greatly benefitted from the service. There
is no company in the country that offers such service and there is a need of
the same for the customers that are the electronic companies. There are alternatives
of sales in the marketplace but there is none that is as much accurate and
certain as the service is. The company has to make marketing plans is a way
that is perfect for the service. This does not require huge capital investment
to start with and initially the service will be delivered in a particular state
and once it gets popular it will be launched countrywide. The political,
economic, social and technological conditions in the country are quite favourable
    for such a business service.
