Question SEVEN Something I wanted to discuss was limitations. it is so important to know your limitations as a clinician, you do not want to be biased and not serve the patient because of your own issues and your own biases. I was pushed to my limits working in a prison…I really found out who I could work with and who I could not. I found I could work with people who have killed but I could NOT work with rapists and child molesters. If I was given an inmate with that history I told my supervisor and they would take over. At first I thought I could not work with murderers but somehow I was able to put that crime aside and look beyond it, for the other two that is all I could see. What does the class think they can work with or not work with?
